My first ever photo of aurora. Taken in Atigun pass after a trip up the Haul road all the way to dead horse and back during a blizzard. After the storm passed this is what I got to see. Some of the rarest colors of aurora. How lucky am I?
This fire dancer was out at the flow greeting the fire goddess with her dance. This image was a winner for the Windland Smith Rice Awards for People in Nature and on Display in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural history.
Shot in Halong bay Vietnam. Luckily I chartered a privet boat because westerners are not normally allowed up in this location but it makes a beautiful photo. My captain was able to be persuaded to let me up in here.
